The Icknield Way

Introduction
The Bedfordshire section of this long distance path crosses chalk grasslands and woodlands which are home to many special plants and animals. Walkers have the choice between the more scenic northern route and the historic Icknield Way through the towns of Luton and Dunstable.

How To Get There By Car
The Downs lie along the B4541 south of Dunstable, which lies on the A505 to the west of Junction 11 of the M1. The main car parks are located on the B4541.
Start/Finish Point
The Bedfordshire section starts at Dunstable Downs and finishes to the south of the viillage of Pegsdon in the east of the county.
