Forest Of Marston Vale Community Forest at Forest Centre & Millennium Country ParkThe Forest Centre and Millennium Country Park are initiatives of the Forest
of Marston Vale; one of 12 Community Forests in England, set up in the early '90s to improve land affected by industrial use in the past.
"Working in partnership towards a long term vision of a varied countryside within a woodland framework for the benefit of everyone"
The Forest of Marston Vale covers over 61 square miles of the very heart of Bedfordshire, England. For several years our team has been working on repairing decades of industrial use by improving the landscape and environment as part of our 40 year vision.
An initiative of the Countryside Agency and the Forestry Commission, in partnership with Bedfordshire County Council, Mid Bedfordshire District Council, and Bedford Borough Council.
It is a place where local people are discovering and enjoying the countryside, some for the first time. It is a place where people live and work but it's also a place that has areas of despoiled and underused land.
Our vision for the future of the Forest is to recreate the mosaic of woodland, farmland and open spaces that once covered the area. We are creating a better place for the next generation.
