A choice of routes around the decommissioned airfield on the Chelveston plateau visiting the villages of Upper and Lower Dean, Melchbourne and Shelton with their ancient churches and other historical features.

How To Get There By Car

From the east of the county, take the Kimbolton Road, B660 from Bedford to Pertenhall, then take the road to Swineshead and carry on through the village until you reach Yelden. From the west, take the A6 north from Bedford and just before you reach Rushden, take a right hand turn through Newton Bromswold to Yelden.

Please park carefully near the walker friendly pub, The Chequers, in the High Street, Yelden.
