How To Get There By Car

Henlow lies on the A6001 about 4.5 miles south of Biggleswade. It lies just to the north of the A507, about 2 miles east of Shefford.
Parking is available near the church in Henlow. Please do not obstruct the entrance.

This circular walk starts and finishes at St. Mary's Church in Church Road, Henlow.

Access and General Information

Length: 6 miles (9.6km)
Access Information:
Surface Types: You will walk across surfaces ranging from hard and firm with no stones greater than 5mm, to hard and firm with no stones greater than 10mm, to grass or uncultivated earth paths without any ruts, to cultivated farmland.
Linear Gradient: There are linear gradients of between 1:6-1:9, of between 1:10-1:13 and of between 1:14-1:17.
Cross Falls: There are cross falls of 1:9 or steeper when leaving Stockbridge Road at Point 9.
Width Restriction: There is a width restriction of 290mm on the footbridge between Points 1 and 2.
Steps: There is a maximum step height of 300mm on the bridge over Dam's Ditch.
Barriers: There are 9 kissing gates with a restriction of less than 1000mm, 2 staggered barriers with a minimum restriction of less than 950mm, 3 one-way opening gates with a width greater than 750mm and one 2-step stile.
Refreshments: There is a choice of pubs and shops in Henlow and Langford.
