Whipsnade Tree Cathedral

The Tree Cathedral combines a range of different varieties of trees and shrubs laid out to the plan of a cathedral. There is a nave, transepts, chancel, cloisters and four chapels and an outer cloister walk enclosing a wide area with a dew pond as its focal point.

How To Get There By Car

Whipsnade Tree Cathedral is to the south of Dunstable and is signposted from the B4540 in Whipsnade which can also be reached from the A5 north of junction 9 of the M1.
There is a small car park signposted from the B4540 in Whipsnade.

Owned by the National Trust, the Tree Cathedral is managed by trustees and cared for and maintained by volunteers. The planting continues in order to maintain the principle features for future generations.
