Rowney Warren offers something for walkers and cyclists. Some of the woods are maintained as a mountain bike course, the remainder is a quiet area of pines, oaks and beeches for those who enjoy a peaceful stroll. Rowney Warren is managed by the Forestry Commission and the Southill Estate.

How To Get There By Car
Rowney Warren is in Sandy Lane, off of the A600 (signposted to Chicksands). It is just south of Deadman’s Cross and to the north of Shefford.
There is a car park at the site.

Access and General Information
Please note: Many areas of Rowney Warren are used by cyclists so please take care.
Surface Types: You will walk across surfaces ranging from hard and firm with no stones greater than 5mm in size, to grass or uncultivated earth paths with and without ruts and mud.
Linear Gradient: Generally level but there is the occasional gradient steeper than 1:6.
Cross Falls: None recorded.
Width Restriction: There is no width restriction less than 1000mm.

Barriers: None recorded.
Refreshments: There is a pub, The Greyhound, in the village of Haynes. There is also a shop here.
