Potton Wood is an ancient coppice woodland, a habitat which supports a varied range of plants and animals. It is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Potton Wood is managed by the Forestry Commission.

How To Get There By Car

Potton Wood is located by the water tower two miles due east of Potton Village on the Cockhayne Hatley road. Potton is east of Sandy on the B1042.
There is very limited parking at the site. Please park thoughtfully.

The site is accessed from the track leading by the water tower.

Surface Types: You will walk across surface types ranging from hard and firm with no stones larger than 10mm, to hard but variable surfaces with loose, variable sized stones, to grass or uncultivated earth paths with no ruts.

Width Restriction: There is a width restriction of 630mm at the entrance to the wood.
