Park Farm, Tebworth

You are welcome to walk over these meadows where you will see evidence of ancient ridge and furrow farming practice. The access to these meadows is provided by the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, which is helping to ensure that the area is managed for the benefit of wildlife and quiet enjoyment of the countryside. Access End Date 30.09.2013.

How To Get There By Car

Hockliffe is to the north of Dunstable on the A5. The site is situated to the south and east of the village.
Very limited on road parking is available in the village. Please park thoughtfully.

Start/Finish Point

The access is at the southern end of the village opposite Hockliffe Farm and Business Park or from the Recreation Ground.

Access and General Information

Surface Types: You will walk across surface types ranging from hard and firm with no stones larger than 5mm, to grass or uncultivated earth paths with and without mud and ruts, to grazing land.
Linear Gradient: There are gradients steeper than 1:6 across the site due to ridge and furrows in the land. There are also linear gradients of between 1:6-1:9, between 1:10-1:13 and of 1:18 or less.
Cross Falls: There are cross falls of between 1:10-1:15.
Width Restriction: There are no restrictions less than 1000mm.
Steps: There are steps with a maximum step height of 10mm near to the recreation ground entrance.
Barriers: There is one kissing gate with a restriction of less than 1000mm at the recreation ground entrance and 2 two-step styles at the other two entrances.
Refreshments: There is a pub and village shop in Hockcliffe and a cafe on the A5 to the south of Hockcliffe.
Public Toilets: None recorded.
Picnic Tables: None recorded.
Seats: There are 5 seats at the recreation ground.
