People have settled and farmed this area for thousands of years. Now this small chalkland field is open for quiet enjoyment of the countryside. No fertilisers or pesticides are applied and grasses typical of permanent chalk grassland have been sown and wildflowers are being encouraged to re-colonise. Access End Date 30.09.2012

How To Get There By Car
Take the A5 north from Dunstable and turn left at Chalk Hill into Sewell Lane.
Limited on road parking is available. Please park thoughtfully and carefully.

Surface Types: You will walk across surfaces ranging from hard and firm with no stones greater than 5mm, to hard but variable surfaces with loose, variable sized stones, to grass or uncultivated earth paths without any ruts.
Linear Gradient: There are linear gradients of between 1:6-1:9, of between 1:14-1:17 and of 1:18 or less.
Cross Falls: There are cross falls of between 1:10-1:15.
Width Restriction: There is no width restriction of less than 1000mm.
