Knotting Green

This is one of the 50 sites in Bedfordshire which are open to the public under DEFRA's Countryside Stewardship and Environmentally Sensitive Areas Schemes programme. This site is open to the public until the end of September 2009.

With the gently undulating countryside typical of the area, this series of permissive bridleways and footpaths have been provided to create links with the public rights of way to allow circular walks or rides to be undertaken. Hedgerows are being restored across the holding, and wide grass strips established to provide habitat for wildlife. Please remain on the waymarked routes to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
