Felmersham Village at Felmersham
Towns and Villages
Details
This village is set on a slope rising from the south side of the River Ouse and the riverside attracts many visitors. From the medieval five arch bridge the road rises to the parish church which has been described as 'the noblest in the county'. In the Early English Style it was built between 1220 and 1240. Immediately south of the church is the late medieval tithe barn now converted to residential use. South of the village is Radwell, also in the parish, where a seven arch bridge spans the Ouse.
