The Heath is a small, unusual area of scrub and woodland containing some interesting plants and fungi. The Heath is common land now overgrown with hawthorn and blackthorn scrub, although many remnants of its heathland past still exist. (Natural Interest)

How to get there by car/parking: Whipsnade Heath is on the B4541 to the south of Dunstable and can also be reached from the A5 north of junction 9 of the M1. There is a small car park at the junction of the B4540 and the B4541.
