This trail explores the landscape, geology and land uses surrounding Clophill over millions of years, from the Cretaceous (approx. 95 million years ago) to the present day. The trail is a steady walk of approximately 9km or 5.6 miles.
The village is situated near the intersection of the A6 between Bedford and Luton and the A507 between Ampthill and Shefford.
There is roadside parking in the village – please park considerately.
Start Description This circular walk starts on the top of the Greensand Ridge at Old St Mary’s Church to the north of the village of Clophill.
