This is one of the 50 sites in Bedfordshire which are open to the public under DEFRA's Countryside Stewardship and Environmentally Sensitive Areas Schemes programme. This site is open to the public until the end of September 2010.
The route passes through historic countryside, along a chalk dominated old railway and gives spectacular views of Bedford and the Marston Vale and the airship hangers.
