There are several walking groups in Bedfordshire who organise regular walks that you would be welcome to join. Some of these are listed below. Most groups have a membership charge but let you go along once or twice before you have to join the group. Why not give it a try?

Walk 4 Health Bedfordshire, co-ordinated by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, covers the Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough areas of the county.
There are currently 25 different walk programmes operating under this scheme, most of these are weekly walks of about an hour.
Central Beds programmes currently operate in Ampthill, Arlesey, Barton-le-Clay, Biggleswade, Dunstable, Flitwick, Henlow, Houghton Regis, Leighton Buzzard, Marston Moretaine, Shefford, Potton and Sandy.
Bedford Borough programmes include Bedford Embankment, Black Tom, De Parys & Brickhill, Kempston, Great Barford and Harrold Odell Country Park.

If you fancy a more challenging walk, the Beds, Bucks and Northants branch of the Long Distance Walkers Association offers a varied programme of walks of 15 miles and upwards throughout the year.
The North Bedfordshire Ramblers are a friendly group of individuals who
enjoy and promote walks in and around North Bedfordshire. Our walks are usually within a 20 mile radius of Bedford Town Centre. We are associated to The Ramblers Association. Visit the website for more information.
Rothsay Ramblers was formed in 1981 and has about 150 members. We are a sociable group whose primary aim is to enjoy walking in the countryside with an interesting variety of scenery; we walk in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. Guided Walks at the Forest Centre, Marston Moretaine
The centre runs a year-round programme of walks. While some are gentle strolls, others highlight various aspects of the park, such as Bird Walks, Herbal Plant Walks and Nature Walks led by knowledgeable guides.
