The Walk, Cycle, Ride and Spaces & Places pages give much information for you to explore the Bedfordshire countryside. Sometimes however, you may wish to explore the countryside in the company of others and be guided on a walk or ride. This section gives information on walks you can join.
There are several walking groups in Bedfordshire who organise regular walks that you would be welcome to join. Some of these are listed below. Most groups have a membership charge but let you go along once or twice before you have to join the group. Why not give it a try?

Rothsay Ramblers was formed in 1981 and has about 150 members. We are a sociable group whose primary aim is to enjoy walking in the countryside with an interesting variety of scenery; we walk in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. Walk 4 Health Bedfordshire, co-ordinated by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, covers the Central Bedfordshire area of the county.
There are currently 12 different walk programmes operating under this scheme, most of these are weekly walks of about an hour. Programmes currently operate in Arlesey, Barton-le-Clay, Biggleswade, Dunstable, Flitwick, Henlow, Houghton Regis, Marston, and Potton.

Guided Walks at the Forest Centre, Marston Moretaine
The centre runs a year-round programme of walks. While some are gentle strolls, others highlight various aspects of the park, such as Bird Walks, Herbal Plant Walks and Nature Walks led by knowledgeable guides.
